What kind of baptism did Jesus received from John?
Asked in The Bible
Does a person have to be baptized to be saved?
No. Salvation is a result of your relationship with Jesus Christ, and your commitment to follow Him. Baptism is considered the first act of obedience and emulation (after salvation), as Christ was baptised before He began His ministry. Baptism is also symbolic of the death of the "old life" and birth of the "new life" (born again), as Christ died and was resurrected.

Was Jesus Christ the first Christian alive?
When Jesus was on earth, nobody is known or called a christian. the faith of people (the Jew) of the time is based on the law - the law of moses. Jesus brought salvation from sin to human race (reconciling man back to God) through grace. Romans 3:24, Ephesians 2:5, 8 During His life time, Jesus has men that walk and work with him - His disciples, this men were seen in the city of Antioch after Jesus ascended to heaven, the people of Antioch concluded that this group of people in there act and conduct are like Christ. ie they are Christlike - hence they were called christian.- first in the city of Antioch. Act 11:26

Showing loyalty to christ by your life words and actions?
definitely, faith without works is dead, so if you just have faith in Jesus but you act like everyone else. your faith is dead. you cant say oh im a christian and then turn around and drop the f-bomb. if you are a christian you now represent Jesus Christ. nonbelievers will see what you do and reflect it on God

How do we get god in life?
When we become Christians, we start afresh, and we become disciples or followers of Jesus Christ, Ambassadors for Christ (God). We are citizens of heaven and ambassadors on earth. Let's remember to act accordingly in all that we do. Let's imitate Christ and glorify God in all we do - being faithful and reliable ambassadors, disciples and followers, not wicked ones. The more we make an effort to act in a way that will glorify God, the more it becomes second nature to us. Let's truly follow Christ in all that we do. First we show verses that talk about discipleship, following and Imitating Jesus Christ (God). Then we show verses that talk about being an ambassador of Christ (God).

Who or what's an Anti-Christ?
Any person who is not with Jesus Christ is against Him. The person whose act of commission or omission disobey, or disrespect, undermine the teachings of Jesus Christ. Everyone and anyone who worship Jesus Christ is an anti-Christ. This is because they, by act of commission or omission, disobey Jesus' explicit mandate i.e. "to worship the Lord our God" as can be seen in each of the four synoptic (not Gnostic) gospels: Matthew 4:10 - Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" Mark [12:29] And Jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments [is,] Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: [12:30] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. Luke [11:42] I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me." John [17:3] Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent

What belief did Jesus teach about salvation?
Jesus came to call the nation of Israel to repentance and salvation through His death as the "lamb of God" was not available until after His death, burial and resurrection. So when people asked Jesus what they had to do to be saved Jesus brought them back to the Law, mainly "love the LORD your God and love your neighbour as yourself." However Jesus revealed more to disciples: John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. This verse makes it clear that the Jesus Christ is Himself the way to heaven. He does not just show the way, or make it possible for a person to earn their way, He is the way. Salvation is through Christ and Christ alone. In other places in the New Testament the way of salvation is clear, for example: John 20:31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. Act 4:12 and there is salvation in no other One, for neither is there any other name under Heaven having been given among men by which we must be saved.

What is the ongoing result of participation in Baptism?
The baptism in the Christian religion those who follow Christ Jesus is a one-time physical act; it is an outward public, expression of your inward commitment to Jesus Christ, Matthew 10:32; it identifies you with Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection; Romans 6:3-5. It identifies you as a redeemed sinner, as part of God's family, 1 Corinthians 12:13.So the ongoing result should be a new life in Christ that you are now living for Him. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new."
