An omivore
Omnivore. Humans are omnivores, as we eat both plants and animals.
From eating other plants or animals.
Animals get the glucose in their cells through plants. They obtain the glucose by eating the plants and absorbing their glucose and energy.
All animals, yourself included, consume food to gain energy. Unlike plants, animals can't use sunlight to produce energy, however, by eating plants or other animals, an animal can convert the energy that organism had for its own use.
by eating them
By eating plants.
The main energy source for plant-eating animals is carbohydrates, such as sugars and starches, found in plants. These carbohydrates are broken down during digestion to release energy for the animal to use.
You get energy from all food sources. There are plants and then there's meat. You get direct energy from eating plants. When you eat animals, you get the energy that they got from eating plants.
photosyntices Energy from the sun is transferred from plants to animals by the animal consuming the plant.
plants
Technically, plants do eat, you just don't see them eating. Animals get their energy from eating other organisms (plants, other animals, etc.), while plants get their energy from the sun and undergo photosynthesis which results in energy for the plant, or their 'food'
Because that's what they adapted to do. Plant eating animals usually have to spend an enormous amount of time eating to get the amount of energy a meat eating animal gets with one kill.
