An anthela is a cymose corymb - a cluster of flowers with a flat or convex top - with the lateral flowers higher than the central flowers.
Anthela callispila was created in 1905.
Thermopylai is a pass leading from northern to southern Greece. Thermopylai means 'hot gates'. There is a temple of Demeter the earth goddess at the nearby town of Anthela.
