The function of the atria is to receive blood in the heart. This is the blood which is usually from the other parts of the body which needs to be oxygenated.
No, it flows from the Right Atrium to the Right Ventricle then to the Left Atrium to the Left Ventricle. Hope this helps!
A three chambered heart has two atria and one ventricle. Only amphibians and reptiles have three chambered hearts.
The third apsect of the cardiac cycle is the rest period, however it is not separate from the sytole and diastole. It is merely the time frame during a cycle when both the artia and ventricles are in disastole at the same time. It thus can be said that the period of rest overlaps atrial and ventricular diastole.
Well, the blood vessels that supply the heart with blood so that it can function can become blocked. Thereby causing heart damage. However, even during a heart attack, the heart may continue to beat, so blood will continue to enter the artia.
The pulmonary artery carries de-oxygenated blood from the right ventricle to the lungs. The pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood from the lungs to the right atrium

Like most names, there is no single form. There is the option of placing a feminine ending onto Arthur or Arth: Arthurine, Arthurina, Arthurette, Arthuretta, Artheia, Arthelia, Arthene, or Arthelle for instance. You could also use a similar sounding name: Artisan, Martha or Artia. Or, you can play around with the letters, such as Ruth from aRTHUr, albeit in the wrong order. If you want a name that references the Arthurian myths, you could take a woman's name from the myths- Guinevere, Morgan, Morgana, Morgaine, Viviene, Elaine, Morgause, Isolde or Iseult for instance, or from an item or place such as Avalon or the slightly odder Excalibur or Camelot.
Well first the heart does have four chambers right atria- Blood comes into this part from the vena cava and is pumped to the right ventricle right ventricle - pumps blood to the lungs by way of the pulmonary artery ( the only artery in the body carrying un-oxygenated blood). left atria - blood returns to the heart through the left atria from the pulmonary vein ( only vein in the body carrying oxygenated blood. left ventricle - Blood is pumped from here through the aorta to the rest of the body The four chambers all have valves that do not allow back flow to occur. the reason for the chambers is to use as a holding tanks in between heart beats as well as provide a stop point before and right after the blood is oxygenated.
