What is autocab use for?

Autocab is a booking and dispatch system for taxi companies produced by GPC Computer Software Ltd. Taxi companies use Autocab to record details of taxis that have been requested for their customers. The Autocab system also keeps track of the location of the company's cars using GPS. Shortly before the time for which a taxi has been booked, Autocab selects a vehicle near to the pickup address and sends the booking details to a PDA or a display terminal in the vehicle. Many taxi companies also use Autocab for their accounts, since it has a built-in accounts module.
