An autotransplant is another name for an autotransplantation - the transplantation of tissue from one part of the body to another.
Tissue transplanted from one part of the body to another in the same individual. Also called an autotransplant.
Not much really. Former Soviet did some experiments with weak electric impulses to stimulate growth. More recent US experiments have used something called "cellular matrix". But neither is generally available, so probably you will have to learn to do without. Sometimes, if you lose a thumb - which is the most important finger - surgeons will do what's called an autotransplant where one of the patient's own toes is moved up to become a replacement finger.
Autograft - Tissues transplanted from one part of the body to another on the same person. Allograft - Organs transplanted from one body to another. Xenotransplant - tissues or whole organs transplanted from one species to another Immunosuppression - lowering the body's immune response to stop rejection of the transplant. hope this helps =D
