An electrochromic mirror uses sensors that change the light sensitivity on rear view mirrors. This is basically an auto dimming sensor that helps with headlights following you. When bright lights hit the mirror, it dims the lights so they do not blind you while looking in the rear view mirror.

Look for a set screw or Allen screw to loosen ANS 2 -In this type you may need a very thin small screwdriver to start poking the metal tab out, then pull it with pliers.

in order to take the mirrow off first you have to open the door and on the front of the inside door where the mirrow is there's a screw remove it and remove the plastic housing which is held down by the screw then you should be able to see the electrical plug which operates the mirrow disconnect it by pulling out the retainer clip also you should be able to see three more screws these hold the mirrow in place unscrew them now you should be able to pull the mirrow out from the outside. hope this helps. butkus.
