an emu caller is an Australian aboriginal made instrument, they can be anywhere from 10-15 inches, the one i have is about 15 inches. They are sometimes painted (mine is) or they have designs carved into them. They are mainly made out eucalyptus trees and they have wax on the end you supposed to play, but, unlike a didgeridoo, you tap the bottom it and it makes sort of a popping sound, its hard to describe, but they are really cool, we got ours along with our didgeridoo in Berry, NSW, AUS, one of my favorite places
