Carnivora:The common Raccoon (Procon lotor).

The weasel family Mustelidae which includes weasels, mink, badgers and polecats.

The Mephitidae family or skunks are abundant.

To be a Carnivore does not mean just bears, wolves, coyotes. foxes and the big cats. The common bobcat is a carnivore as is the housecat and when they are feral they also improve their hunting skills. Carnivores have special tools like carnassial teeth and keen senses of smell, hearing and or sight essential to gaining their food supply and a relatively large brain to accomodate and coordinate these sensors. Many like the fox, coyote and raccoon have adapted well to an urban environment.

And while not Carnivores at all, the mosquitoes of Mississippi can really eat you alive.
