Victor gets caught up in his own world thinking that he is doing something good for the world, but we later find out just how bad this creation could be. Victor's creation destroys him and everyone he loves. Elizabeth is like Victor's "Jesus" or "saviour", but she couldn't save him. Typically, good conquers evil, but it seems that this has changed, and evil is taking away all things good.

Dr. Frankenstein thought he was playing God by creating a man; an Adam. He created a monster and was more like the devil unleashing a soul less demon in the world, instead of an man with a soul (Adam).

The monster in the novel is described as having monstrous physical features, "black lips", "ghastly grin", "yellow eyes" etc. However Victor, ironically, is the one who shows to be a monster with such qualities. He abandons his "creation" cursing him as a "daemon" and "wretch", not taking into account the repurcussions of his actions which lead to the death of the innocent Justine accused of killing William. He is the one who is a monster, and this is seen during the monster and Victor's first encounter in the mountains: the monster tries to approach in a calm and peaceful way but Victor reacts like a monster.
