Popcorn:
I hear the pop, pop, pop,
I smell something sweet,
I see something white,
I feel something soft,
I taste something plain,
What could it be?
It's Popcorn!
I created this for school! This is a sensory poem. Sensory is when you explain what something feels like in a poetry way that involves the senses. Hear, smell, see, feel, and taste.

Ears are sensory organs.
Sensory memory is stored in different regions of the brain depending on the type of sensory information. For example, auditory sensory memory is primarily processed in the auditory cortex, while visual sensory memory is processed in the visual cortex.
Sensory language is language that appeals to your senses and allows you to sense what's being said. Onomatopoeia is an example of sensory language. Words like creamy, sparkly, silky, and crisp are also examples of sensory language.
A sensory image is an image based on more than one sensation, An MRI is an example of a sensory image- it combines colors and depth based on the neural sensations of the brain.
Sensory function: Detecting and responding to stimuli from the environment. Example: Feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin. Integration function: Processing and interpreting sensory information. Example: Deciding to pull your hand away from something hot. Motor function: Initiating a response to the sensory input. Example: Moving your hand away from the hot object.
An example of afferent neuron would be using a sense. In this case we will choose touch or feel. EX: Your Hammering the door and suddenly u smash a finger. First it started with a smash then that feeling passes through your sensory nerves which pass through your whole body ending at the brain which makes u feel pain. That is an afferent neuron experience.
It all depends on which area of the sensory system you want to go into. For example if it to do with smell you can go into ENT or if visual then Opthamology, or if hearing is your area then auditory etc

Sensory receptors are a type of sensory nerve. The sensory receptors that are specialized to respond to light energy are called stimuli.
