rock and metal usually , but if you change the strings to a different type and play something more blues style you can make it do much more. Plus tunings help too.
by the way switching the pickups will make it sound like a whole different guitar when you get bored of it.
However, not switching the pickups and playing metal like its meant for would make you less of a wuss.

It depends on personal preference classical music would be best played on a classical guitar, metal would sound best on electric acoustic is a different sound so it is up to personal preference
