An orbital is a region of space that an electron can exist in. For the diagram you start with the 1 s orbital and then 2s, 2p, and so on. Each orbital can hold 2 electrons and each arrow represents, as shown in this image.

It is true :)
Yes it does
An orbital diagram is used to show how the orbitals of a subshell areoccupied by electrons. The two spin projections are given by arrowspointing up (ms =+1/2) and down (ms = -1/2). Thus, electronicconfiguration 1s22s22p1 corresponds to the orbital diagram:
The two arrows with a single block of an orbital diagram must be written in opposing directions because the electrons are said to be rotating in opposite directions. This means the two electrons in the orbital are spinning on their axis in opposite ways.
it shows that the arrows going towards the south pole and away from the north pole
what is a food web and what does the arrow represent?
Did you mean "why do the arrows point in different directions?" if so, the answer is that, since electrons are both negatively charged, the will repel from each other, causing one to go in one direction, and the other opposite that. Think "Pauli exclusion principle" which states "no two electrons in the same atom can be in the same quantum state." This 'state' includes spin, and the arrows represent the spin of the electron orbit. I hope this helped!

The arrows indicate the spin of the electron, which is either +1/2 or -1/2. This it also indicates the magnetic quantum number, or the fourth quantum number.

Before you can make a diagram, you will need to know the atomic number. With the atomic number you can make the diagram, which will consist of two in the first ring, then six in the second, with eight in the rest of the rings.

1s2 2s2 2p4 Meaning 2 electrons in the 1s orbital/shell, 2 electrons in the 2s orbital & 4 electrons in the 2p. So both 1s & 2s orbitals are full, the 2p orbital is only partly filled as it can hold 6 electrons.
On a diagram that include light rays, lines with arrows on them to represent the direction of the light rays could be used. Hope that answers your question.
The arrows represent the flow of energy.
The arrows represent convection and how magma flows through the mantle. When a divergent boundary is formed, the land sinks into the mantle and goes through the convection system.
Electron configurations show the energy levels, the orbitals and the number of electrons in each case. For example, the electron configuration of Na (at.no. 11) is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s1. This shows that in energy level 1, there are 2 electrons in the s orbital. In the 2nd energy level, there are 2 electrons in the s orbital and 6 electrons in the p orbitals. etc. The orbital diagram would show essentially the same thing, but would include the spin of each electron, by showing up and down arrows. Cannot draw it here but if ^ represents up arrow and v represents down arrow, it would look something like ^v ^v ^v^v^v ^ 1s 2s 2p 3s

Why do you think that arrows of varying lengths are used to represent forces?
