A light fan switch is used to control the operation of a ceiling fan and its light. It typically has two separate controls, one for turning the fan on and off, and another for turning the light on and off. The switch operates by completing or breaking an electrical circuit, allowing you to control the fan and light separately.

To wire a bathroom fan and light on separate switches, you will need to run separate wires from the fan and light to the switches. Connect the fan to one switch and the light to another switch. Make sure to follow proper electrical wiring guidelines and consult a professional if needed.

Your question is a little puzzling. Typically, fan/light combination fixtures have a ground wire (bare or green), a single "neutral" wire (white), a black wire (typically it runs the light) and another COLORED (red, blue...) to run the fan. If your house wiring does not include the additional wire to the fan you may not be able to wire the fan and light separately... that's why they have pull chains that hang down; so you can control the light and fan independently.

To add a light to a ceiling fan, you can purchase a light kit that is compatible with your fan model and follow the installation instructions provided.
A ceiling fan light cap is a cover that goes over the light fixture on a ceiling fan. Its purpose is to provide a finished look to the fan and to protect the light bulbs. It does not directly affect the functionality of the ceiling fan, but it can impact the aesthetics and overall appearance of the fan.
A ceiling fan can be equipped with a can light by installing a light kit specifically designed for that fan model. The light kit typically includes a canopy that attaches to the fan, a socket for the light bulb, and a cover to conceal the wiring. This allows the fan to provide both lighting and air circulation in a room.
