Stress Cardiopathy (stress = hardship ++ card = heart + path = disease + y = process), also known as Broken Heart Syndrome, can be confused with the symptoms of a heart attack. A third name for this is Takotsubo Syndrome because the left ventricle of the heart takes on an unusual shape resembling a Japanese fishing pot. The cure may be grief counseling, regular physical exams and time.
