Sharpey's fibers
There are forms of Dacron that will act like a ballistic nylon. The fibers and construction of the materials are quite similar to one another.
Carpet weight is simply the total weight of all fibers on a one square yard of carpet. This weight does NOT include the backing of the carpet- just the fibers. The denser the fibers, or the longer the fibers, the greater the weight. It is as simple as that.
It is the direction fibers lay in. Oriented strand board is an example. In materials like fiberglass they are at right angles to one another for strength.
paper quality is determined by length of the fibers, what percentage of the fibers is virgin versus recycled fibers, whether the fibres were bleached and by density of the paper.
Which fibre? Plant fibers, such as cotton or paper are poor conductors. Glass fibers are non-conductive. Metal fibers conduct very well.
perforating (Sharpey's) fibers
bundles of collagenous fibers that pass into the outer circumferential lamellae of bone or the cementum of teeth.

Another name for the walls of ventricles is the Purkinje fibers.
Central canals extend longitudinally through bone tissue and transerse perforating canals connect them. -Brandy James :)
Central (Haversian) Canal is the canal that runs through the core of each osteon.
I believe the perforating gastric ulcer releases the acid, inside the stomach, which can then damages the pancreas, due to how close the pancreas and stomach are.
They are those whose fibers come together in the medulla to form the pyramids. They also have another name-corticospinal tracts.
the microscopic nerve fibers are called chemocytes
