∙ 14y agoThe Lanthanide and Actinide series are at the bottom of the Periodic Table of elements because if they were where they were supposed to be, then the table would be way too long. The Lanthanide series actually goes between Lanthanum and Hafnium, and the Actinide series goes between Actinium and Rutherfordium.
