Would need more information, serial no. type of gun - (hammer or hammerless). Larry shelton, (Clabrough collector) lsheltonsxs@sbcglobal.net
Try including the caliber, barrel length, sights (if any) and serial number (minus the last three numbers, which should always be indicated by x's).
The serial number is on the frame.
The barrel and receiver should have the same serial number.
My own, 10-gauge sidelever Clabrough & Brothers, low-2000's serial #, is estimated to be from 1872-1875. Yours should be from the low end of that period.
Serial number will be on the frame or receiver. not the barrel
The serial number should be on the front barrel band, in some cases it is on the barrel.
Barrel or receiver or both.
Stamped on barrel, Barrel and reciever one piece.
Impossible to answer without the serial number.
Check the receiver and barrel.
On the barrel.
