The Bible has much to say about attitude. It suggests how to maintain positive mental health in times of adversity, loss, depression, joy, compassion, etc. Intimate firsthand knowledge of scripture is developed by consistant reading and study. Relying on others to tell you what they think is in there and what it means is marginal at best.
Love is the most important attitude. That we love our neighbors and brothers in Christ as ourselves. Solomon teaches wisdom for us. That we choose the right woman or man for a husband or wife and that we live in a way that benefits ourselves through our wisdom and others. This too is love and is the most important character. Through wisdom we know how to treat others well and through love for our neighbors and love for our brothers and sisters in Christ we improve the world and our own lives.
We are to be humble, kind, gentle, respectful, and live honorable lives. We are to treat others as we want to be treated and in a way that we want to be handled. Since we've all done wrong, forgiveness is a right attitude to have toward ourselves and others. And to forgive them. A quite life The Bible also claims is valuable. To love God and have an attitude of hope towards his kingdom, his will, and accomplishing these things or growing these things through faith. That's a Christian attitude!
This is as anything, since there is essentially nothing hidden from God in the sense that He sees and knows everything, even our thoughts and motives, even things we do not know or understand about ourselves.
'In God's sight' can also be seen as referring to the way in which God is pleased or in some cases not pleased with our attitude. For, as the Bible frequently makes clear we can do what is outwardly right from the wrong attitude or motive.
This word does not appear in the Bible, probably because God's salvation is completely independent of our attitude - He saves sinners and makes them saints, for He loves us -
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3.16)
