I think you are confusing your terms. The term 'stator' (not 'stater') is used to describe the stationary part of a rotating machine (motor, generator), as opposed to the term 'rotor' which describes the rotating part.
No part of an autotransformer is normally described as a 'stator'. An autotransformer has a laminated silicon-steel 'core', around which are placed 'windings'.
