By 30 months the average toddler weighs about 28lbs. * An "average" 3 year old boy would weigh approximately 31 lbs (about 14 kg). However, this is the child who would weigh in exactly at "average," or on the 50th percentile. A "normal" child of this age could weigh anywhere from as little as 24lbs (11 kg) or as much as 39 lbs (17.5 kg) and still be considered healthy (depending on height, prior weights, etc.)
