I think you mean to play a latin beat...sorry if I assumed incorrectly.

But if I'm correct then it means to play a drum beat using the "clave" patterns such as

the "Son Clave", "Rumba Clave", and "Bossa Clave" which can all three be played in

2/3 or 3/2 (2/3 reffering to two hits in the first measure and three hits in the second

measure, not the time signature). The time signature can be 4/4 or 6/8 for these

rhythms, but I've most commonly seen them in 4/4 time.

You can learn more about these rhthms on YouTube if you have it, go to the main menu

and type "drumlessons.com" and look for "claves" or something like that.

You can also go to "drumstyles.com" it might have something on there about the clave

patterns.
