To tell you the truth, you can't.There is also a house in emerald version with an old man, but it is blocked with flowers.You just can't get in.sorry.The Japanese version of Fire red, Leaf green, ruby, saphire, and emerald let you go in, but the American version doesn't.I actually went into the room on Fire Red, and strangly enough, i fought Giovanni.
