They can be preserved in zoos, and other animal reserves but not for long.
They need to be protected with enforcement because of all the poachers.
We can also make hunting illegal, for the best of animals going extinct.
It's also best if they aren't always watch because they'll become afraid

Cheetahs are protected by many laws now, and banning of spotted hides for the fur trade has helped in the increase in cheetahs, leopards, jaguars and others.
