You actually DO NOT have to buy a new bed - you can stay bed bug free by buying a mattress encasement also - http://www.bedbug.com.
The best way is probably to call a pest control professional and have them inspect your house.

∙ 12y agoClean every thing in your house, especially bedding and carpets with a vacuum cleaner. Then have your house fumigated with a gas that is poisonous to bedbugs.
To keep bedbugs away, wash bed linens at least twice a week, and shampoo carpets every several months. Everyone in the house should take daily baths or showers.

∙ 11y agoStir fry and then eat them in front of the other bedbugs that you haven't captured as an example of what they are in for if they don't leave your presence. Truthfully here, high heat. 1000+ watt hair dryers, bedding in high heat dryers. Small versions of thermo-nuclear warefare...high heat short of burning your place down!
