Currently, there is only one intercollegiate varsity Wrestling program in the state of Texas -- Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas.
It's a brand-new program with both men's and women's wrestling.
There are no other varsity wrestling programs within the state. There are several NCWA club-based programs, typically run by students.

No but it does help if you do, as most of the wrestlers are college graduates including the Undertaker and Kane
