It all depends on the specific CPU you are talking about. There are hundreds of processors made by both of these companies. There is no good answer to this.
AnswerIn my experience, Intel is WAY better than AMD. My roomates have AMD's and their not impressed. Anybody that speaks of their Intel is typically happy.Intel dose not use a much power as AMD. So Intel for laptops and AMD for desktops. All in all they are both good
Well AMD can keep cool but in the result of staying cool it obviously uses less power so it's not as strong as Intel. Most of Intel's products are cool but because they are so powerful they don't stay cool for long, also Intel is way more expensive then AMD you get what you pay for.
More Power that might get a little hot vs A little less power but stays cool.
That depends which processor type you are looking at. There are mobile processors,
desktop processors and server processors. At the moment I would think that Intel has the better mobile processors, AMD and Intel are about level in the desktop market
and Intel is slightly ahead for server processors. But both companies develop new processors all the time and each new processors might changes this.
In general it is difficult to judge who makes the better processors.
Intel processors have the highest overall performance, so if you have a lot of money to spend, spring for a Core 2 Quad, or even a Xeon. AMD chips do not reach as high in maximum performance, but they are often cheaper for the same performance. While such activity is monetarily risky, you could theoretically purchase a cheaper AMD processor and overclock it to perform as well as or even better than the most powerful Intel processors. But the same could also be done with Intel processors, which have better performance to begin with.
BOTH the processors are equally to each other AMD and INTEL give there best performance but for the price issueamd is the best for home user (personal use) andintel is also good as intel. AMD ischepar then Intel
both are best in there performance but one thing is that windows uses only 32bit os that is for intel but after AMD came in the market they make the processors 32 and 64 bit then windows has make the 32 and 64 bit os and now AMD is jumping to 128 bit processors but intel still uses 32 bit now they uses 64 bit processors.
now you get the enough knowledge about which one is best AMD or INTEl
i'll just say that AMD is faster then INTEL .AND according to price costing amd is cheaper then intel .
It's really a matter of personal preference. I personally prefer Intel, but if you're on a budget I'd recommend AMD. If you're a performance enthusiast and have loads of money to spend, go for Intel. It's a proven fact that Intel's i7s are generally faster than any of AMDs high-end processors. (Gtfo fanboys.)
If we compare the best AMD with the best Intel processors, Intel is better in a lot of aspects
Intel
All tests show that Intel is better, but amd is usually cheaper.

AMD is cheaper than Intel ...
AMD anthlon x2 dual core. AMD has more quality. Much faster and hold more space/memory. INTEL are OK, but bad. anything AMD is ALOT better!
Amd is just awesome then intel.
Intel centrino-dio is better for the current market.
For AMD - AMD Phenom II X4 920 For Intel - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Intel processor is rated slightly faster overall than the AMD processor but the cost of other things (i.e. motherboards) may make the AMD processor the better deal.

The latest processor made by AMD is the AMD A10-7850K. It is used in desktops and laptops. The latest processor from Intel is the Intel Core M processor.
amd is the best
Well i would go with Intel because to me it's a little bit more powerful and (in a opinion) it's more reliable but if you get a computer with the AMD processor you were talking about you will get the highly recommended AMD Radeon graphics chip which is better than the one that comes with a Intel processor because if you are using it for gaming then i would go with an AMD processor!
In many ways the AMD processor is considered to be significantly better than the Intel. Intel is attempting to improve their image by adding new features, and AMD is doing much the same.
