Evaluate the statement – “Wind is better than coal!”
To start, Wind energy has many advantages. It is a renewable source which means it will be able to not run out which makes it more reliable rather than coal. In 2016 the energy created was more substantial than coal for the first time. It does not pollute habitats with dangerous chemicals and the manufacturing machines won’t stay although wind turbines take up a lot of land, that could be used for more housing.
The wind is everywhere which makes it suitable for turbines to turn into energy, all over the world. The turbines themselves need a generator to create power however it does take over 7,000 pounds just to install one fan.
Not only is wind power an abundant supply but it also provides electricity without burning any fuel or polluting the air. It keeps it safer for endangered habitats and It’s cheaper to position.
Countries all over the world have been using coal for over 3,000 years. It was founded in China in 200 BC and was then sold to different countries for money. Factors take up so much land and spread harmful chemicals to animals which can ultimately lead to mutations.
Overall, Wind is an effective and efficient way of extracting electricity and in the future a more renewable way to save the plants habitats.
Coal is more effective, but a lot more expensive and harmful to the environment. Wind however is cheap (once the Wind turbine is built) but is slower and dependant on how windy that day is
Coal power stations burn coal to heat water to produce steam, which is then used to spin electricity turbines to generate electricity. The burning coal releases carbon dioxide.Wind farms have blades which turn in the wind to spin electricity turbines to generate electricity. There are no harmful carbon dioxide emissions.
Water, coal, wind, geothermic
The majority of he UK's electricity is generated by coal or gas-fired power stations. We also use nuclear power, wind and wave generators.
No. We can get electricity from wind power, hydropower, solar cells, and from burning renewable fuels.
Wind energy is a sustainable source meaning it can be used repeatedly. It also doesn't produce CO2 so it is better for the environment.
in many sources we are producing electricity. They are water, from combustion of coal , from wind , from biomass ,and from nuclear power
water power, coal, oil, nuclear power, solar, ocean currents ,wind power
Wind power generates electricity, just like coal, water and solar power generate electricity. Electricity is a key utility in modern life, nearly everywhere in the world.
Turbines actually make the electricity wind, water, and other recources do the work of turning the generators to produce the electricity.
Yes, of course:Coal is the highest energy resource in environment pollution. Burning coal to produce electricity results in global warming and acid rain.Natural gas is used also in generating electricity. It is less environment polluting than coal.Water falls, wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass are also used in generating electricity. They make no waste, and they cannot be used up.Nuclear energy is very promising, reliable, cheap, and efficient source of electricity generation.
electricity generation in Poland is based on coal as most of the capacity is installed in coal fired powered plants.
A v 90 wind turbine produces around 3 megawatts an hour of electricity when the wind is blowing.
