Personally, I have a pair of Sperrys and I love them. They're so comfortable, but breaking them in caused a few blisters. After that, though, my feet are quite happy in Sperry's. I also find them to be cute. They go with many outfits.
However, I tried a pair of toms, and they are comfortable as well. I found the sperry's a tad more comfortable-r, but that might just be me. Toms are cute too, but you might need many colors for your many outfits. Also, toms wear out easier than sperrys.
conclusion-if you're not worried about the money, go with sperrys. they're more classic, and will last longer.
