If you mean in size, then neither. Pure gold is too soft to use in jewelry; the higher the number the higher the content of gold. The numbers range from 24, which is pure gold, to 10, which is less gold content, but stronger. If you mean diamonds though, 22 is definitely bigger than 14.

1:Pure gold is bright yellow, soft, shiny and malleable. For jewelry production, it is mixed with other metals, in varying proportions, to add strength. The amount of other metals in proportion to pure gold is indicated with numbers, like 916, or karats, ranging from 24 to 10. 2:The purer the gold, the more expensive the gold. Gold that is a high Karat, like 24kt or 22kt, is more expensive than 14kt. Gold marked 916 is 22kt gold, and priced at that level.
the PG stands for Plated Gold - meaning the ring is not pure 14kt gold but made of another metal overlayed with 14kt gold
917 or 918.
