There are two references to Blackmans Meeting House:
1)The Blackman meeting house was named for Leah Blackman who was a historian and a poet. This building located in Little Egg Harbor-Tuckertown, New Jersey by Mill Pond, became an important cultural and religious center. Leah wrote a poem titled "The Old Friends' Meeting House." It was originally erected in 1709. It was taken down in 1863 due to age and rebuilt in 1864. This structure currently stands today.
2)In Cedar Bridge, New Jersey, a Blackmans Meeting House was erected in 1769 for the Presbyterians faith. By the 1840's the Methodist faith took over the meeting house.
