Surfing the internet is usually seen as fun, dangerous, or a tremendous waste of time, depending on who you ask. All of the above is true, but what is also true is that the Internet is a necessity for today's computer users. It is, in one sense, the world's largest encyclopedia (don't know something? look it up on the Net), but it's also the world's largest data and software repository. Looking for printer drivers? better word processor than Notepad? a good antivirus package? a walkthrough on installing a second hard drive? advice on how to handle a balky Windows install? the new plug-in for your copy of Diablo XII? Whatever you need, you can find it and download it over the Internet, often for free.
I consider the Internet as necessary of a computer resource as an antivirus program, a utilities package, or a backup disk. So should you. In the links below, you'll find tips on navigating the Web using either of the two major browsers, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator (along with some info on Opera and some other browser competition), working with search engines, handling e-mail, keeping your info private while online, working with America Online (the world's largest content provider/ISP and worth a separate section), as well as some tidbits on Net etiquette, Web site construction, and the wonderful and maddening world of Usenet. Happy surfing.
It is where you go to lots of websites and you play on the computer.
This is browsing internet websites. The idea is named after a man called Cerf, and it was originally called 'internet cerfing'. This evolved to 'internet surfing'.
It is just a term used to describe when somebody is browsing the internet.
Looking at webpages. In fact, it is what you were doing getting to the page. -_-
Surfing the net is when you use the internet to find something, being led by links and wandering from site to site. It can be pointless, or informative. - Coco
to browse the internet on a web browser..

Do you mean 'surf the web'? use a web browser. It is very easy, the same as any other system. However, if you mean surfing on a surf board, I would imagine that would be quite difficult.
