fluid is called viscosity in hydraulic system
Hydraulic oils are used in hydraulic systems to power them. There are different hydraulic oils with different levels of viscosity. The higher the viscosity normally the more efficient the pumping system will be.
low hydraulic oil viscosity

The output of the hydraulic system for hydraulic fluid with a "T" is displayed.
That would be "bleeding" the system.
Bleeding
no,because boat uses hydraulic oil of less viscosity.
Hydraulic oil does not lubricate properly it has a different chemical makeup and viscosity. I would never do that.
Just to clarify....the IH B414 was only manufactured from 1961 to 1966. The hydraulic system takes 3 gallons of hytran. These days its called Hytran ultra, the original Hytran has been discontinued. It is a #10 viscosity and is available at a Case dealer
It is telemetry system with hydraulic
Only use the type of hydraulic fluid recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Hydraulic oil serves several purposes in a hydraulic system. It provides power to, removes heat from, and lubricates the consumer. Hydraulic fluids are at a viscosity for which hydraulic systems were designed to work with. A different fluid that is to viscous or not viscous enough will burn up the motor driving the pump. An incorrect fluid can also shorten filter length, with can lead to system damage including blown return lines. Only use the fluid recommended by the OEM.
