Chloroplast is one of the Chromoplast that contains green colored pigments known as Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is essential for absorption of light for photosynthesis that is why chloroplast is known as kitchen of cell. besides green color other colored pigments like yellow and orange colored pigments may be present but are comparative of less importance of green pigments.
