Sexual abuse of a child is when someone who is more powerful than the child, be it another child or an adult, uses that power difference to be sexual with the child in a way that harms the child. These acts can be legal or illegal in nature, but if harm was felt by the child, it means abuse has occurred. Typically, sexual abuse is more about a difference in power than it is about sexual pleasure.
