Clark's rule is an old rule for an approximate child's dose, obtained by dividing the child's weight in pounds by 150 and multiplying the result by the adult dose.

example a child weighs 14 lbs. the adult dose is 100 mg. Using clarks rule 14/150 = .09 x adult dose = .09x100 =9.3 mg

Now we calculate using BSA (body surface area).
