A clustered system is two or more computers that share access to each other's disk storage or to a separate storage system(s). This can include satellite systems without any hard drive storage that boot and run completely using another machines hard drive. Clusters may be connected using special high speed channels such as Fiber to support the hard drive traffic. They may also use LAN connections for data transfers. Various LAN protocols are available TCPI/IP such as NFS (network file system), and SMB/CIFS (Server Message Block/Common internet File System) often interchangeably called NetBIOS, Lan Manager and Samba. Other clustering methods include proprietary clustering protocols, Decnet, LAT, and NetBEUI
Clustering (means gather together) allows two or more system to shear storage closely linked via a local area network .
A clustered system combines multiple computers into a single system to perform computational task distributed across the cluster.
There are basically four types of operating systems. They include Batch Operating System, Multiprogramming Operating System, Network Operating System and Distributed Operating System.
1. BATCH PROCESSING operating system 2. MULTIPROGRAMMING operating system 3. TIME SHARING operating system 4. REAL TIME operating system 5. DISTRIBUTED operating system
There are 2 types cluster system 1.Asymmentric clustering 2..symmentric clustering

A cluster is a logical unit of file storage on a hard drive and is managed by the computers operating system. Any file that is stored on the hard drive takes up one or more of these clusters.

XP is a complete operating system, not simply an operating environment.
A clustered system is a group of interconnected computers working together as a single system to provide high availability and scalability, while a distributed system is a collection of independent computers that appear to users as a single coherent system, typically spread across multiple locations. In a clustered system, nodes are usually physically close to each other and tightly connected, while in a distributed system, nodes can be geographically dispersed and connected through a network.

Yes, a multiuser operating system is also described as a network operating system.
Hell no. the bios sits under the operating system (vista is an operating system) the bios is independent of operating systems, and is there to....run the operating system.
It is both operating system....
