APAP is acetominophen such as tylenol.
It's not codeine, it's hydrocodone. And I know of 5mg and 7.5mg doses, with 500 and 325 mgs of APAP; but I don't know if those are the only doses.
It is a norco 10/325 codeine tablet! Pain reliever! Brand name drug for hydrocodone w/ APAP!
Yes, you can take paracetamol (Tylenol) with codeine AS LONG AS the prescription does not say "APAP". APAP means that it already contains paracetamol which can increase risk of overdose and death. As always with Codeine Phosphate, do not drive or operate heavy machinery after taking it. You may need to increase your intake of clear fluids, as Codeine is notorious for causing constipation. You should take this medication with food as taking on a empty stomach can cause upset stomachs. Also, do not take codeine for long periods of time, it is a narcotic and can be habit forming. With Tylenol (paracetamol/acetaminophen/APAP) do not consume more than 4g (4000 mg) or 8 - extra strength (500 mg) tablets in any 24 hour period.
No, Hydrocodone has HYDROCODONE in it, that's why they put it on the label. the APAP is simply Acetaminophen (Tylenol).
It comes from the opium poppy, and is one of the main opiate alkaloids found in the poppy, along with morphine, thebaine, and a few others. It feels pretty good if you take enough as with any opiate but believe me its pretty addicting. It is the most commonly prescribed narcotic, being prescribed for conditions from cough to mild to moderate pain. Im not encouraging any drug use but if that's the reason for you asking this question i only ask you to do your research on codeine and any other drug it is combined with in your prescription. Ie. cod/prometh syrup, codeine/apap*, codeine/guafenisen etc. Pairing codeine with other drugs makes it harder to abuse as well as serving the function of two medicines. *be extremely dose cautious when using codeine with Apap, or Aceitomenophen(Tylenol), because apap can cause overdose at doses as little as 2,000 mg(depending on the preperation could be as little as 4 pillz).
I know this much for sure. The first number in there is the amount of codeine in the pill, maximum amount is 10, then goes to 7.5, 5. The second number depends on the name of the pill. Vicoden ,Hydrocodone, Perkeset, Darvacet, Lortab, all contain codeine ( or isomers of codeine ) as the main drug, the only thing that changes is the secondary drug. for example, the Hydrocodone 5-500 contains 5 mg. of codeine and 500 mg. of a generic brand of Tylenol. The Lortab 5-500 is the same only the Tylenol is brand name.
APAP is acetominophen such as tylenol.
Hydrocodone/APAP is the a preparation of Vicodin containing 5mg/500mg of Hydrocodone/APAP.
the generic form is called hydrocodone/apap this is made up of codine and acetominophinhydrocodone is not the same thing as codeine, they are derivatives. and it is not the generic name of Tylenol 3. Tylenol 3 has acetaminophen and codeine in it.Tylenol 3 is a compound analgetic that consists of 30mg codeine phosphate and 300mg acetaminophen (paracetamol). In the US, Tylenol products contain no caffeine. Tylenol 3 manufactured in Canada additionally contains 15mg caffeine.
Basically yes, that's what the apap is saying.
Gilles Apap was born on 1963-05-21.
Normally the street price for 93 150/4 white round codeine pills cost $10 around this area (Boston) so I'd imagine the 3's would be $5... Also keep in mind 3's have 30mg of codeine and 300mg of tynerol whereas 4's have 60mg of codeine and 300mg of tynerol.
