During the first three days off cocaine, the individual goes through a "crash" and spends a couple of days in bed, fatigued, sleeping much of the time, and with dysphoric or depressed mood. After that, cravings usually continue, but decrease with time. However, cravings can be easily triggered by "people, places and things" related to the cocaine user's contacts. Full rehabilitation from cocaine addiction/dependence can take anywhere from a year to several years (and, even then, relapse is still possible). Whatever the addictive drug, the motto is "one day at a time".

∙ 11y agoMany different treatments are available for cocaine addiction. By far twelve-step therapy is the most popular and subjectively the most reliable. 12 step can help with other addictions such as opiate addiction and Alcoholism.
