Blasting- verbally a child with a steady barrage of put-downs- You will never amount to anything, You are Going Blind ( when they are not- but merely wear specs)- exaggerating handicaps for bad effect- so to speak.l There are all kinds of psychological punitive tactics that can border on abuse- groundless ( but the kid doens"t know it) talk about being sent to a Mental Hospital ( in a Tution! a dopey guy I knew used to say- They say I belong in a Tution! ( moron talk for institution.) Parents have an awesome security task on their hands, and often fail at it tragically. and it is no myth, Abuse of adopted tots is not uncommon, aklkl the talk iof wicked stepmothers.l.. Child rearing is NOT some sort of part-time hobby! Heavens No!
