Convergent thinking is a term made by Joy Paul Guilford which is the opposite of divergent thinking. There are some people who think convergent has many benefits and there are some people who think there are no benefits.
Systematic reasoning focusing on one correct answer. This includes inductive and deductive reasoning, inquiry and logic.
Divergent thinking will take a problem apart to analyze it, hoping to solve it. Convergent thinking attacks the problem head on, and tries to solve the whole of it.
Convergent thinking is based in giving the 'correct' answer, given data, much like what is used in standardized multiple-choice tests. Divergent thinking, on the other hand, takes a free-flowing pathway to generate creative ideas. Both are important in life, though the latter is more important for creativity and the former for logical construction.
Divergent, convergent and transform.
Divergent boundaries- Plates move apart from each other Convergent boundaries- Plates compress against each other Transform boundaries- Plates move past each other
Vesuvius is associated with a convergent boundary between the African Plate and the Eurasian Plate.
Convergent on the western perimeter, divergent on the Easter perimeter.
Two paths which are convergent will come together in the distance. Two paths which are divergent will get further and further apart in the distance.
Divergent thinking involves exploring various ideas and possibilities to generate multiple solutions to a problem, while convergent thinking focuses on evaluating those solutions and selecting the best one. Divergent thinking encourages creativity and brainstorming, while convergent thinking is more analytical and aims to reach a specific conclusion or decision.
Convergent means where plates are moving together. Divergent means where plates are moving apart.

Correlations between creativity and intelligence are modest because they are different constructs measured by different abilities and traits. Creativity involves generating novel and useful ideas, while intelligence focuses on reasoning, problem-solving, and general cognitive abilities. While there may be some overlap, each construct encompasses unique skills and processes, leading to moderate correlations between them.

In case of venturi meter, at the diverging section mach number is less than 1. however in diverging section of a nozzle mach number is greater than 1.

The Andes are a result of the convergent boundary between the Nazca and South American Plate.
Critical thinking involves analyzing and evaluating information to make informed decisions or judgments based on logic and evidence. Creative thinking involves generating new ideas or solutions by exploring different perspectives and thinking outside the box. While critical thinking focuses on logical reasoning and problem-solving, creative thinking emphasizes innovation and originality.
