You can't bend bones easily because they are rigid. Bones give your body rigidity and hence you're able to move. If they could be bent easily you would be similar to some jelly. But bones do have a certain amount of flexibility to them. An infant has the most bending capacity. But as we age, the substance responsible for flexibility is replaced by non-flexible minerals. But it is important to remember that they are basically rigid and only some amount of flexibility is possible. If the bones are forced to bend beyond that, then it may result in fractures.
