करन्द (karanda) or खीट (kheet). Usually not found in India. It is not करौन्दा(karaunda) which is a different fruit growing in warm and dry climate, found in two varities-Karaunda or karvan which is tart like cranberry but pink with white colours (cranberry is bright red) used in pickles. Another is Jungli karaunda, black and sweet called Conkerberry in English.
