What is defact in military term?

Defact? Not a term that I'm aware of. You may be thinking of DFAC - Dining Facility.

What is an army meal deduction?

All soldiers get Basic Allowance for Subsistance (~330 a month). If you do not live in a barracks you keep that money. If you live in the barracks you receive a meal card and are charged $285 per month meal deductions whether you eat at the DFAC or not because the meals were provided, you chose not to eat them. Personal gripe; the DFAC's are actually managed pretty well according to how many people eat there, not how many people could potentially eat there. I'm sure that if everybody with a meal card ate all the meals they were entitled to for a month there would be problems.

What is the name of the place where soldiers meals are prepared?

Mess tent or canteen, cafeteria. The term " Mess" hall or tent has been discouraged for some time now, in favor of "Dining hall " The latest term is DFAC (dining facility) pronounced Dee-Fak. You'll also hear "chow hall."

Can you get separate rations if you are single?

You must have a valid reason as to why you would need separate rats. Being on shift work especially night is a valid reason since you would be asleep during DFAC operational hours. If you believe you have a valid reason talk to your first line supervisor and fill out a DA 4187

What does the Army eat for their meals?

Food. Sorry if the answer disappoints, but it's just plain, normal food, much the same as you know it in the civilian world. You'll only eat MREs in the field, so the rest of the time, you either eat at the DFAC, or if you're married and/or on separate rations, then it's whatever you buy or make.

Do we have legal rights to turn away dfac if they don't have a court order?

Maybe. DFACs or CPS or whichever agency is responsible for child protection in your state has some authority to investigate without court involvement. This means that they can access some information, interview witnesses, and investigate without your permission. They may not be able to enter your home without a warrant, depending on the state and the circumstances. If you refuse to cooperate, they will continue to investigate and will get whatever is necessary without you.

Do soldiers pay for their own food in the army?

No, soldiers in the army typically do not pay for their own food. The cost of food is included in their overall compensation package, which covers their basic needs while serving. Food is provided through on-base dining facilities or military meal allowances when soldiers are on deployment or in the field.

If an adult woman not related to a 17 year old yells and uses cuss words at them and degrades them in front of other people can you report them to DFAC?

Hopefully, the woman is not part of the household in which the 17 year old lives, because it would be hard to get away. As such, even though embarrassment took place, she is seen as "only" a toxic person who should be avoided. If she persists in following you, or other invasive behavior, you could get a restraining order against her. Avoid trying to respond in kind or taking other action yourself, since it could lead to trouble. As many of our moms said in response to "he/she started it!"--"but you finished it."

What is another name for a US army canteen?

The old US Army canteen was called a canteen. It was one quart, plastic, and could be fitted with a an NBC capo that allowed a tub to be fitted into the top and allow the soldier wearing a gas mask to drink. Those days seem to be gone. The new Army canteen is called a hydration kit. It is comprised of several parts. These are listed below with their NSN's: * MOLLE Canteen pouch, 1 quart, NSN 8465-01-0585 * MOLLE Hydration system, 100 oz., NSN 8465-01-524-8396 or 8465-01-525-5531 * MOLLE Hydration Carrier, NSN 8465-01-524-8362 or 8465-01-524-5232

What type of food is served during basic training?

I went to basic training at Fort Jackson. Most days we would eat in the DFAC (dining facility), and it is fairly normal cafeteria food. A choice from two or three main dishes such as chicken, fish, or pasta and a few starches and a few veggies. There was a salad bar as well as dessert, although we were not allowed the dessert for the first few weeks. Some different drinks but nothing with caffeine, so no soda or coffee. Other times we would be in the field or usually it was when we were at the range we would get the MRE (meal ready to eat), or hot As. Hot A is like a mini buffet they bring to you so you can still get a little (fairly) fresh cooked warm food in your stomach. The MREs however do come with heater packs so even those you are eating hot food. Plus if you get the peanut butter M&M's, you can trade those for basically anything you want!

What happens at your 2nd visit to MEPS to ship to BCT for active duty army?

I remember a lot of waiting, reviewing paperwork, receiving my airline ticket and meal ticket, then being shipped to the airport. I think there was another drug screening done, as well. The night before, you'll stay in a hotel, and there'll be quite a lot which goes on there, none of which has anything to do with the actual enlistment process. From there, you fly to whichever airport.. if you have time to use your meal ticket, you can get food there. If not, you're just plain out of luck. The bus driver may or may not give you time to smoke a last cigarette before you get on the (civilian charter) bus, and, from there, you'll be transported to the Adjutant General battalion at whichever post you're attending BCT or OSUT at - typically at some time past midnight. You'll have your first encounter with a Drill Sergeant, you'll be shaken down for any contraband, you'll do more paperwork, you'll be taken to CIIP to be issued one set of PT uniform to get you out of civilian clothes and tide you over until you get your full uniform issue, you'll get something to eat at the DFAC, then you'll get a couple hours to sleep.

What about the product quality of drilling rigs made in china?

The saying goes that products made in China are very cheap and poor quality. When our company bought drilling rig we chose to import it from China. After comparing with other companies and manufacturers from several countries, we decided that the Chinese company was much less expensive. In the first several months of using the machine we indeed watch the system closely, afraid of finding quality issues. The drilling rig proved to be highly efficient and reliable. I recalled the words of the salesman of Dayu machinery: "China has a vast territory, abundant resources, raw materials and manpower". While the raw material was not sellected meticulously, and the massive cheap human power contributed to the slow automation and improvement. Some products made in China were thought to look good, but not be durable. Dayu Machinery, as well as other companies in machinery industry, suffered loss in the intenational market sales due to this perception. They had to make design improvements on one hand, and they introduced high-tech, high quality components and parts from international brands. They worked on controlling the product quality and made huge efforts to create a reliable brand. The drilling rig we bought is truck mounted, adopts special crane chassis by DFAC, with YC6J180-33 (Europe II emission standard) engine. As for the compressor we chose to configurate Kaishan LGCY26/20K from other brands such as American Sullar1070XH, Swedish Atlas XRVSI096, Japan PDSJI00S and Hongwuhuan HG900/20. I think the whole machine performes well in drilling. Once, "made in Japan" was considered to be an indication of poor quality, but the Japanese have improved their quality control and improved performance. Now, many Janpanese brands are reliable and famous in the world. The Chinese people have realized the crucial importance of high product quaility. I think China can improve their products, and change the poor quality of their reviews.
