Christians believe that when they die, they go to heaven and live a life of everlasting peace and happiness in paradise. That is assuming they were good people when they were living. If they were evil, then they go to hell and live in torment forever more.
[Pave3Ant] Begging your pardon, but that is violently and offensively wrong. A Christian will go to heaven, regardless of how evil they were, just because they are a Christian - because Jesus paid the penalty for their evil, that is. Conversely, a non-Christian will go to Hell, regardless of how good they were (unless they were absulutely and utterly and continually perfect) just because there is any evil at all in their lives and because they did not turn to Jesus to pay the penalty for it.
(I should add that someone who is orientated towards evil is not a Christian.)
That is the difference between Christianity and every other religion (independently of whether or not it is true).
Death is the end of life on earth (just a small portion of eternity) and the beginning of eternity (FOREVER) in Heaven (or Hell).

Constantine, if he converted to Christianity at all, was a death bed convert. He never lived a Christian life and many scholars question the story of his becoming a Christian. The conversion of an emperor such as Constantine was a great propaganda tool for use by the early Christians. That much we know.
