Deism is an eighteenth-century religious philosophy based on reason and natural laws.
Voltaire describe the universe as a clock. God, the clock maker, had created it, set it in motion, and allowed it to run without his interference and according to its own natural laws.
Deism is a philosophical belief that posits the existence of a supreme being who created the universe but does not intervene in its affairs. Voltaire embraced deism and used it to argue for a rational understanding of the universe, emphasizing the idea of a distant and non-interventionist God who established natural laws for the functioning of the world.

I believe that deism is all that is required to believe in God. That we as human beings may reason without resorting to any form of revelation.
One example of a philosopher who used sarcasm to expose government abuse is Diogenes of Sinope. He was known for his sharp wit and biting sarcasm in criticizing the rulers and authorities of his time, particularly those he believed were corrupt or unjust. Diogenes used his humor and mockery as a tool to challenge established norms and question authority.
Since God, the supreme being, created the universe, reference was and is often made to Him to reference physical phenomenon on a higher level, not necessarily explaining it in detail. It's much like referencing Henry Ford to explain the Model T.
what is a universe
Voltaire said it in french and Payne translated it :)
Exponents is something scientists use to explain something that is very small or very large. Scientific notation is another useful tool.
That's two questions.

My friend is an atheist and does not believe in the existence of any gods.
