Density Dependence
a. Add density dependence to the prey population
(1) This means that the prey population will regulate its own numbers.
(1) The amplitude of the oscillations gets smaller over time
(convergent oscillations).
(2) Eventually, both Ns are constant.
b. Up to now, the equations have assumed that the predator takes prey items in direct proportion to their availability.
Ecological density is the number of individuals per unit of suitable habitat area. So, for example, if there are 100 individuals in a habitat that has an area of 200 m2, then the absolute density is 0.5/m2 .
If 100 m2 of that area is unsuitable and unlivable for that species, but the other 100 is ok, then the ecological density for that species is 100/100 m2 or 1.0/m2 .
there are two kinds, how many individuals of a specie live in a given unit area and how many different kinds of species live in a given unit area
Ecological Succession--The gradual replacement of one community by anotherPrimary Succession--Ecological succession that happens where there are few, if any, living things.Secondary Succession--Ecological succession in a place where a community already exists.
industrial development and ecological issues
Why do autotrophs always occupy the lowest level of ecological pyramids?
Failure to recognise the effects of climate change and illegal dumping of waste
Redevelopment of a community after an ecological disturbance is known as succession. This is aimed at regrowing the biomass that had been eradicated.
density dependence
low predator energy requirement high prey density high prey mobility
the differences in the ecological succession and the ecological backlashes the ecological succession:in short words it is the changes the environment the ecological backlashes:in short words it is the revenge the environment thank you!!!!!!
Ecological biogeograpy
Ecological backlashes
Ecological backlash
Ecological is a adjective, not a verb
Molecular ecological research ... from a bio-ecological standpoint as the study of man as the ecological ... and restoration phases of land-use. Ecological ...
The difference between ecological succession from ecological backlash. Ecological Succession is the predictable changes in the ecosystem. Ecological Backlash is the unexpected and detriminal consequences of an enviromental modification which may outweigh that gains anticipated form the modification. THANK U
why ecological balance is important
the synonym's for ecological are : bionomics, conservation, and persevitation
Let's not leave the planet with an ecological disaster.
