As per my knowledge, There is no any 6 stroke engine in existance. The engines are catagorised as 2 Stroke and 4 stroke engines.

The difference is 1)Suction 2)Compression 3)Ignition and 4) Exhaust (called power cycle) complete in 2 or 4 strokes.

What are the major difference between 4stroke engine and 2stroke engine?

A four stroke engine has 4 strokes per cycle, whereas the two stroke engine has only 2 strokes per cycle. Since the 2 stroke engine has twice as many power strokes as a 4 stroke engine at a given rpm, the 2 stroke is capable of making nearly twice the power of a 4 stroke for a given displacement.

The burning air-fuel mixture forces the piston down on what stroke?

Depends on if this engine is a 2 stroke, 4 stroke, or rotary engine. I assume you are referring to a 4 stroke as found in the vast majority of automobiles built today. The answer is, At the top of the compression stroke. The 4 strokes of a 4 cycle engine are:# intake/induction stroke # compression stroke # power stroke # exhaust strokeDepends on if this engine is a 2 stroke, 4 stroke, or rotary engine. What is a 4 stroke outboard?

Combustion piston engines can have two different work cycles, 2-stroke and 4-stroke. 2-stroke tends to have a better power to weight ratio, but pollute more. A 4-stroke outboard is simply an outboard engine that works the same way as a car engine.

What is the difference between two and four stroke dirt bikes?

A 2-stroke dirtbike will be powered by a 2-stroke engine and a 4-stroke dirtbike will be powered by a 4-stroke engine. For the same power, the 2-stroke will be a lighter bike. For the same weight, the 4-stroke will be a weaker/slower bike. The 2-stroke is likely to use more fuel and make more noise. The 4-stroke will run cleaner and quieter.
