the gods are the children of the titans. Kronos, the king titan, ate all his children (the gods) because he thought they'd overthrow him. But he didn't eat Zeus (by mistake, he ate a rock thinking it was Zeus) who poisoned his drink so he threw up the rest of the gods, Zeus' brothers and sisters.
