Burrowing owls are one of the only owls (besides some snowys) that live underground. Their legs are practically featherless and long so they can make their hole bigger. They don't really dig the whole thing. They mostly live in abandon burrows and drain pipes.
They can fly but they mostly walk and run. That's really diffrent then other owls. If other owls were on the ground. They mostly hop.
